ANIT-HAZING POLICY

Aidan University has an absolute prohibition on hazing. Hazing is defined as an action or situation created on or off campus, which recklessly or intentionally harms, damages, or endangers the mental or physical health or safety of a student for the purpose of initiation or admission into or affiliation with any organization operating within the University.

The term “hazing” includes, but is not limited to, any brutality of a physical nature, such as whipping, beating, branding, forced calisthenics, exposure to the elements, forced  or encouraged consumption of any food, liquor, drug, or other substance, or other forced activity which would adversely affect the physical or mental health or safety of the student, and also includes any activity which would subject the student to mental stress, such as sleep deprivation, encouraged exclusion from social contact, forced/encouraged conduct which would result in extreme embarrassment, or forced/encouraged activity which could adversely affect the mental health or dignity of the student, or any other activity which is inconsistent with the regulations and policies of the University.
